THE WORK - Lockheed Martin is seeking a Procurement Quality Engineer (PQE) Staff for a position based out of Orlando, FL, executing PQE tasks on the F-35 Training and Logistics program and supporting Suppliers in the United States, and overseas locations. The position will require working flexible hours and travel out of the assigned geographical area to support suppliers across the United States and possibly some international suppliers. As a member of the Procurement Quality Engineering Team, this individual will be the focal point and responsible for coordinating all efforts to assure the quality and technical performance of deliverables from major subcontractors/suppliers for the F-35 Training portfolio primarily, with potential to support F-35 Support Equipment programs as well. This position requires up to 50% travel to customer sites at domestic and international locations to participate in supplier test events during device installations, such as Full Mission Simulator, Weapons Loading Trainer, and Ejection Seat Maintenance Trainer devices. Experience with source inspection and surveillanceactivities at suppliers. Experience with tactile panels. Experience with training devices-Experience working closely with government customers-Experience managing major Subcontractors-Experience with on-site installations-Experience with performing First Article Inspectionsto AS 9102 requirements-Strong understanding in AS 9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems-A basic understanding of the SAP and P 2 P businesssystems -Technical Engineering Degree or equivalent-Must have ability to obtain a security clearance-Strong understanding of engineering requirementsmanagement-High energy, self-starting, team player who achievesgoals and delivers results-Must be able to identify and document supplier'squality deficiencies and ensure effective root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action-Understanding engineering drawings requirements,mechanical and electrical inspection methods-A basic understanding of special processes andstrong skill in managing and interfacing withsuppliers on a daily bases to support the Program-Strong organizational skills and the ability to work ina dynamic environment-Must be able to multi-task, meet deadlines and tosupport all supplier quality field engineering activities-Strong communication skills (both oral and written)will be necessary to support the assignment andweekly reports-Must be able to effectively communicate andinterface with Suppliers, Quality Program.
