As a Cloud Software Engineer I, you will be working with motivated, diverse, and knowledgeable development teams to deliver world-class products. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, testing, and documenting software for the next generation of Neuromodulation software products. This role requires the ability to work as part of a team to realize complex, innovative, high reliability systems that improve the quality of life of people around the world. This is a highly trusted position that requires an individual to thoughtfully develop software with good state of the art software practices, energy, and a passion to win. A Day in the Life Design, build, and test web applications in global cloud infrastructure as a service environment Design, develop, and verify software products, in an agile environment Work with agile teams in multiple sites Create and document all aspects of the software engineering processes for products under development, incorporating the highest quality standards, cost effectiveness, and measurable efficiency Support the test automation strategy and implementation Meet all project milestones and deliverables, as required by the project leadership Coordinate the software test activities with all other engineering disciplines, including Project Management and Software Quality Provide concise, timely, and accurate reports and status of all development and test activities Participate in continuous process improvement activities Keep abreast of technical and industry trends related to software design and development Location: Rice Creek/ Fridley, MN - Onsite: At Medtronic, we bring bold ideas forward with speed and decisiveness to put patients first in everything we do. We’re working onsite 4 days a week to drive performance, foster an environment of belonging, and collaborate to inspire as we engineer the extraordinary. This role will require >10% of travel to enhance collaboration and ensure successful completion of projects. Must Have: Minimum Requirements Requires a Baccalaureate degree and 0 years relevant experience Nice to Have Good working knowledge of Java and JavaScript, Kotlin Coding experience through school projects, internship or work experience Experience in Object Oriented Design, layered architecture, MVC, Design Patterns Knowledgeable in web frameworks– Spring, JPA, Hibernate, Angular, Rx. JS Database – experience with relational databases (MySQL, Postgre. SQL) and data modeling Understanding of Systems Engineering Strong leadership and team commitment Effective communication and presentation skills. For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C. F. R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required. Physical Job Requirements.
