In this role, you will be responsible for safely maneuvering trailers throughout the yard, positioning them at dock doors, and ensuring equipment is placed in the correct locations to keep operations running smoothly. Candidates with prior warehouse experience and a valid CDL will thrive in this hands-on role. Beyond yard operations, you will also have the opportunity to support inbound warehouse activities as needed, making you an important part of the overall logistics team. Success in this position requires a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with others in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Moves vehicles, trailers, and flatbeds to and from dock and yard area to assist with loading, unloading and yard utilization. Operates vehicles and equipment to move or transport materials to and from specified destinations in a safe and efficient manner inside the yard. Maintains work hours and repair logs. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values. Required Knowledge and Experience:Requires minimum of 2 years of experience.. Acceptable driving record as defined by DOT regulations, TSA regulations and Company policy. US Requirement: Valid state issued Class C Driver's License issued by the driver's home state of residence. Nice to Have:Previous experience operating yard trucks, hostlers, or spotter trucks. Experience working in high-volume warehouse or distribution environments. Familiarity with dock operations, trailer loading/unloading, or freight handling. Basic knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) or RF scanners. Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment. Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with dock teams and drivers. Ability to work flexible schedules, including overtime, evenings, or weekends if needed. Proven track record of safe equipment operation and adherence to safety protocols. Mechanical awareness or ability to perform basic equipment inspections. For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C. F. R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required. Physical Job Requirements.
