As a Managing Consultant, Capital Project Delivery, based in Overland Park, Kansas, you will lead high-profile environmental permitting and compliance efforts for large-scale capital projects. This is a pivotal, client-facing role where your expertise will directly influence critical decisions across renewable energy, electric transmission, and midstream oil and gas developments. Drive successful delivery of multi-media environmental permitting and NEPA processes for high-profile projects. Lead client engagements, ensuring projects meet scope, budget, and quality expectations. Build and strengthen relationships with stakeholders, regulators, and clients. Elevate ERM’s reputation as a trusted advisor in sustainability and environmental compliance. What You'll Bring. Required:BS/ MS in environmental science, natural resources management, ecology, or related field or equivalent experience 4 years (8 years preferred) of consulting experience in NEPA impact assessment and multi-media permitting (ESA processes, Section 7/10 consultations, HCP development)Proven ability to manage complex projects and teams in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional technical writing and communication skills. Collaborative mindset and commitment to ERM’s sustainability vision. This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship. Preferred:Established client relationships in the Midwest energy and infrastructure sectors. Experience with international projects and global regulatory frameworks. Key Responsibilities. Lead and manage environmental permitting and compliance for renewable energy, transmission, and oil & gas projects. Oversee ESA consultations, develop Habitat Conservation Plans, and prepare mitigation strategies. Deliver NEPA-compliant impact assessments and management plans, ensuring regulatory alignment. Provide strategic guidance to clients, identifying opportunities to add business value. Maintain high standards for health & safety, financial performance, and client satisfaction.
