Shift Details: 36 hours per week / full time benefits. Monday - Thursday 8 am - 4:30 pm and Friday 8 am - 12 pm. Scope. At a small hospital or facility, the Volunteer Services Coordinator acts as a single incumbent leadership role. In support of a large facility or facility with 900 plus volunteers, the Coordinator acts as part of a multi-tiered leadership structure. Job Essentials. Assists manager with recruiting, screening, and placement of volunteers. Helps complete related paperwork and tracking. Supports manager in supervising and evaluating volunteers and in responding to volunteer needs and inquiries. Provides training, supervision, and scheduling for gift shop staff and volunteers. Ensures compliance to regulatory and legal guidelines. Supports leadership with data gathering, tracking, and reporting. Assists in reviewing and communicating volunteer services program policies and procedures. Establishes and maintains positive team relationships with employees and volunteers. Takes ownership for meeting customer needs and resolving concerns and issues. May assist leadership in supporting gift shop as needed. Minimum Qualifications. One year of experience in an administrative, customer service, or retail sales role. Experience relating to and working with diverse populations. Experience developing and promoting programs or initiatives in a related setting. Computer skills in working with spreadsheets, word processing, data bases, and presentations. Preferred Qualifications. Prior experience in a volunteer, healthcare, or community organization. Interact with others requiring the employee to communicate information. Operate computers and other office equipment requiring the ability to move fingers and hands. See and read computer monitors and documents.
