We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Staff Accountant to join our GNC Tax Department, supporting tax compliance, reporting, and strategic tax initiatives across the organization. The Tax Staff Accountant plays a key role within the GNC Tax Department, supporting the delivery of tax compliance, reporting, and strategic tax initiatives for the Company and its stakeholders. This position assists with the preparation of federal, state, local, and international tax filings, as well as the monthly sales and use tax process. The role also contributes to audit support, tax research, and cross-functional projects. What You’ll Do: This is a Full-Time Salary Position Assist with the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local direct and indirect tax returns in coordination with third-party service providers Support tax compliance activities for non-U.S. jurisdictions, primarily Canada and Puerto Rico Prepare and file 1,000 annual business personal property tax returns Receive, review, and process business personal property tax assessments and bills Monitor, track, and assist in resolving state and local tax notices; respond to inquiries from retail locations Assist with the review and taxability classification of new products for sales tax purposes Provide tax support for new store openings, including registrations, licensing, and correct sales tax rate setup Support multi-state sales and use tax audits by gathering data and preparing documentation Process payments to taxing authorities and external tax service providers Contribute to tax-related projects, including implementation of new tax technologies and process improvements Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
