The position is responsible for the operation of the GEA Machines. This position has the responsibility to comply with Safety work rules at all times as well as an obligation to reinforce Safety as a Core Value. Duties and Responsibilities:1. Uses Red. Zone to configure SKU settings, conduct checks and verify product description and date codes. 2. Observes product bagging to detect defect packaging, misalignment and correct as needed. 3. Required to do Poly changes and Product changeovers 4. Stops equipment to clear/clean jaws. 5. Keeping work area clean and free of debris, cutting waste into a tote as needed. 6. Can perform basic maintenance. 7. Inform lead and/or supervisor, or maintenance, of any equipment malfunction. 8. Maintain records related to production, including date codes and product labels. 9. Follow all SQF principles pertinent to your position as specified by the SQF Practitioner. 10. All food safety and human safety concerns need to be reported to appropriate personnel such as QA technician, Safety Manager, FSQ Manager, etc. 11. Ability to embrace change productively and to handle other tasks as assigned. Also responsible for sanitation process within the production area, along with other production staff. Typically, complete sanitation in Retro on the GEA’s, conveyors and floors. In these areas use of standard chemicals including but not limited to chlorinated products and sanitizers. Other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities. This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 6 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts and cold environment. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
