Provides clinical support to operating room and anesthesia by participating as a member of the interdisciplinary team under the supervision of a licensed professional. Proactively supports efforts to maintain efficiency, minimize delays, and ensure delivery of safe patient care. Inventories, cleans, and maintains operating room and anesthesia equipment/supplies, maintains a clean/orderly environment, and transports patients as required. ExperienceOne year of experience in a hospital. Preferred Qualifications. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Patient Care Technician/ Assistant (CPCT/ A) or certification as a medical assistant or emergency medical technician. Inventories, orders, and maintains departmental supply stock consistent with departmental demand. Assists in lifting, turning, positioning, and preparing patients for surgical procedure, using proper body mechanics. Transports blood or specimens to laboratory. Escorts patients and families throughout hospital. Maintains hallways and equipment room by adhering to fire codes and keeping them orderly and free of obstruction. Maintains supplies in holding areas and keeps area free of clutter. Checks portable oxygen tanks daily and replaces if necessary. Achieves 75% attendance at staff meetings if applicableSupports Joint Commission readiness.
