Field Technician - FPT Diesel Engines & Heavy Equipment

Provide solutions to onsite unit failures, including the Engine, drivetrain, power end, fluid end, and accessories associated with waterblasting equipment. Diagnose, troubleshoot and perform repairs on FPT diesel engines and Jetstream pumps. During standard business hours and after hours as needed, provide phone support to Rental Centers. Collaborate with Customer Service, Engineering, and FPT distributors to collect and analyze repeatable problems and infant field failures. Generate Non-Conformance Reports with Jetstream internal software, Wave. Analyze, troubleshoot, and document resolution for warranty repairs in accordance with FPT procedures. Provide training & assistance to all Rental Centers in identifying and resolving FPT unit concerns. Coordinate business travel with Rentals and/or Customer Service Schedule. Document repair work and communicate findings to CS, Rentals, and Engineering as necessary. Successfully complete FPT Service training to ensure diagnosis and repairs meet FPT quality and safety standards with appropriate documentation. Comply with defined safety standards and personal protective equipment requirements. Willing and able to travel up to 60% Perform other duties and assignments as requested by Manager. Requirements High School diploma or GED equivalent, required Strong preference given for Associates in a technical discipline or Diesel Tech Certification 5 years related experience; maintenance & repair on diesel engines, FPT preferred. Knowledge of high-pressure reciprocating pumps and/or waterblasting equipment preferred. Experience working with electrical, hydraulic and/or mechanical systems Read and interpret technical manuals. Strong written and verbal communications abilities, professional demeanor, required Ability to obtain a passport for international travel Posses a valid Driver's License Ability to lift up to 50 lb. and climb stairs and ladders Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other shop equipment safely & within company guidelines.
