The Vice President of Development will act as the firm's senior development lead in Dallas-Fort Worth, reporting directly to the partner group and working closely with an Austin-based counterpart. Lead direct sourcing of multifamily land and development opportunities across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Build and maintain deep relationships with landowners, brokers, municipalities, utilities, and key consultants. Underwrite, structure, and advance development opportunities from concept through entitlement and pre-construction. Shape site planning, density, yield optimisation, and capital structuring strategies. Lead negotiations on letters of intent and purchase and sale agreements. Oversee entitlement processes, design coordination, and early development milestones. Represent the platform externally and contribute to building internal processes during a key growth phase. . The Successful Applicant. For the Vice President of Development role we are seeking:Ten or more years of multifamily development, land acquisition, or build-to-rent experience within the Dallas-Fort Worth market. A proven track record of sourcing and executing ground-up multifamily developments. Strong working knowledge of local municipalities, entitlement pathways, consultants, and brokers. Advanced underwriting and financial modelling capability across development scenarios. Experience managing entitlement, design, and pre-construction activities. An entrepreneurial, self-directed mindset suited to a lean, high-accountability environment. The credibility and communication skills to act as a true market lead.
