(Market awareness);Combining market knowledge and data analysis, develop a portfolio strategy that will deliver on STMJ targets and ensure your portfolio remains fully competitive. Experience in data gathering, presentation, and interpretation essential. (Portfolio strategy);Managing content growth organically and by (title) acquisition as well as managing innovation of content formats and content extensions and channels. (Portfolio development)Negotiating and managing contractual relationships with journal editors;Managing the editorial fees budget and providing input to pricing processes;Staying in close contact with editors and editorial boards within journal portfolio, and engage with stakeholders across the research communities, including research institutes, societies, and funding bodies. (Relationship building);Participating in projects that are run across STMJ and contribute to projects within Elsevier that require STMJ representation. This could be relevant for the particular department, related to a pilot for a new product, service or business model or even to improving certain processes within our organization. Requirements. Have a university degree;Have relevant STM publishing experience, including experience in open access and working with societies, with a proven track record of realizing goals, and of making a difference to a program;Display excellent networking and communication skills in English;Able to adapt to change, handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously, and work equally well collaboratively or independently with colleagues and customers at different levels, in different locations, and from different cultures, in a deadline-oriented environment;Are data-driven mindset and a keen interest in new online developments;Have financial and commercial awareness, with strategic awareness and eye for business development;Are results-oriented with a strong can-do attitude;Have willingness to travel.
