Performs general inspections, troubleshooting and repairs of minor electrical, mechanical, and plumbing items within the hospital or clinic setting. Examples of works may include but not limited to: unclogging plumbing lines, replacing light bulbs, replacing ceiling tile, repair leaking faucets, and painting touch-up. Follows up on completed assignments ensuring equipment is working appropriately. Responds to and repairs specialty systems, such as, and not limited to, the nurse call system, fire alarm system, television system, medical gas system, and the ceiling system. Completes preventive maintenance inspections in accordance to scheduled checkpoints and maintains documentation appropriately. Assists with any maintenance on associated equipment within assigned area(s)Performs other related duties as required. Assists other Hospital and Clinic departments with daily maintenance and support services as needed Will assist with repairs and upkeep of facilities structures and building systems. In the event of severe weather emergencies or disaster, personnel will be assigned a work area and remain onsite throughout the duration of the severe weather or disaster.
