Provides nursing care to the patient undergoing endoscopic procedures. Collaborates with the patient and physician to provide care. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Conducts preprocedural assessment and data collection. Participates in the care of patients undergoing GI procedures. Provides proper documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards and requirements. Maintains a safe environment for patients from assessment through to the recovery period. QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum. Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate. Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate. Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate. Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multistate licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (e. NLC). CPR certification 1 year nursing experience or previous GI experience required if less than one year nursing. Preferred 1 year critical care experience. Minimum 2 years endoscopy experience.
