The Exercise Physiologist plays a vital role in supporting Cardio. Vascular Wellness Services by delivering exceptional patient-centered care within our cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation programs. This position ensures that all services meet or exceed AACVPR, AHA, and ACSM standards while contributing to a multidisciplinary approach to wellness. The Exercise Physiologist provides expert clinical assessment, personalized exercise prescription, risk-factor education, and ongoing support to help patients achieve improved health outcomes. This role also includes administrative and educational responsibilities, serving as both a mentor to student interns and a resource to the broader clinical team. Key Responsibilities: Clinical Responsibilities: Conduct initial patient assessments and evaluations. Provide instruction on and monitoring of exercise therapy. Develop and consult on individualized exercise prescriptions. Deliver exercise and risk factor modification education in both individual and classroom settings. Document patient progress and communicate effectively with referring physicians, including initial assessments and ongoing updates. Administrative & Educational Responsibilities: Work with and directly supervise student interns. Serve as a knowledgeable resource to the multidisciplinary team regarding exercise, exercise prescription, and risk factor modification. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Cardiac Rehabilitation or related field National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire Work experience interpreting GXT’s, formulating and updating personalized exercise prescriptions, and risk factor and behavior modification Demonstrated work experience in interpreting GXT’s, formulating and updating personalized exercise prescriptions, and risk factor and behavior modification Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Cardiac Rehabilitation or related field 2 years Bachelor’s Degree: minimum of two (2) years of experience 1 year Master’s Degree: minimum of one (1) year experience handling own participant caseload in cardiovascular risk reduction and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation or related field Why Join Providence Swedish?
