Assistant Director of Leadership Programming - Are you passionate about building dynamic leadership programs that make a real campus impact? - Ready to support and advise the next generation of student leaders across a vibrant Greek community? The Assistant Director of Leadership Programming works in the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life and is responsible for overseeing leadership development and risk management education for the fraternity and sorority community. They design programming for chapter and council leaders who manage the day-to-day experience of the approx. 10,000 members in the Greek community. This staff member will be a part of the Fraternity and Sorority Life team and will create a rich and vibrant living and learning experience beyond the classroom for all members of the Greek community. This position will also support the University’s mission and goals through participating in recruitment and retention activities, as appropriate, for prospective and current students. Day to Day for this position: - Serve as team lead for community-wide leadership initiatives - Primary advisor to a cohort of chapters through the chapter coaching model - Oversee the Annual Chapter Expectations program, including the creation and implementation of a year-round tracking system - Supervise Greek Village Property Managers. U - Sl 7 ck Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 3 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience. Pending graduates eligible if candidate receives their degree by date of employment. Required Certification, Licensure/ Other Credentials Preferred Qualifications Membership in a Greek organization is strongly preferred. Experience in the areas of fraternity/sorority operations, advisement, programming, publications, and computer skills is strongly preferred. Fraternity/sorority leadership consultant experience is strongly preferred. Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities Strong teaching and training skills are necessary. Must be able to work late nights and weekends and respond to late night/on-call emergencies. Job Duties Job Duty Serve as team lead for community-wide leadership development initiatives. Create and execute events, including large-scale, high-impact events such as an overnight leadership retreat, the annual leadership conference, president meetings, and awards banquet. Oversee engagement and training efforts for local chapter advisors. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 20 Job Duty Serve as a primary advisor to a cohort of chapters through the chapter coaching model. Serves as a liaison for the University when working with local/regional/state advisors and national headquarters staff. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 20 Job Duty Manage and oversee the Annual Chapter Expectations program, including the creation and implementation of a year-round tracking system and communication of the submission process. Lead staff through an annual review and assessment of ACE. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 20 Job Duty Supervise a small team of Greek Village property managers. Conduct one-on-one meetings and expectations meetings with staff to develop and review goals and outcomes, address concerns, recognize contributions, and build meaningful relationships. Maintain regular communication with House Corporations to support property managers. Support recruitment and hiring process for open fraternity and sorority life positions. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 15 Job Duty Responsible for assisting with administrative duties. This includes, but is not limited to, overseeing the renewal/registration process, chapter roster changes that impact other financial processes, and individual membership forms. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 10 Job Duty Assist the emergency support system for the Greek Community and respond to critical incidents as needed, including the University’s Hazing Hotline. Serve as a member of the weekly on-call duty rotation and as support for other members of the duty team. Serve as an investigator for the Critical Incident Investigation Team. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 10 Job Duty Participate in planning and assessment activities and initiatives for the Fraternity and Sorority Life area, including Beyond the Classroom Matters programs. Partner and collaborate with key campus offices to ensure programs, services, and activities support a diverse, equitable and inclusive learning and work environment.
