Harborview Medical Center's Centralized Transport Unit is seeking a CNA / Transporter. WORK SCHEDULE 90% FTE (36 hours per week)Day shift. POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:Transporting patients and supplies to all areas of the hospital. Completes transports in an efficient manner, understanding the importance and impact of patient flow throughout the hospital. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the following functions:In collaboration with the Registered Nurse, understands patient care needs and utilizes them during transport if necessary (i.e., oxygen)Utilize technology to respond to transport requests and escalate transport concerns. Remains knowledgeable about safe transportation practices. Utilizes effective and clear communication skills. Qualified candidates:Required: High school diploma or GED - Required: Active Nursing Assistant-Certified (CNA) with the State of Washington. A minimum of 1-year of CNA experience.
