This role is the Portage site’s primary leader for operations quality and continuous improvement, responsible for ensuring day-to-day manufacturing quality performance, resolving customer and production quality issues, and driving sustained improvements in product and process reliability. - The role owns execution of core quality outcomes at the site, including CAPA effectiveness, deviation and nonconformance management, complaint resolution, and investigation rigor. A central focus is strengthening right-first-time performance through disciplined root cause analysis and data-driven problem solving, while improving cross-functional execution between Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain. - The role also serves as the key quality interface for customers and escalations in Portage and the shared sites supporting Medical tubing, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution of issues that impact product quality or customer experience. In parallel, it leads and embeds continuous improvement efforts across Portage and our medical tubing sites to reduce variability, improve KPIs, and build more robust and scalable operating processes.- Beyond operational execution, the role develops quality talent, strengthens quality ownership across the Medical Business, and builds a culture where quality is integrated into daily decision-making rather than treated as a standalone function. - 7 years experience with Quality Operations leadership role with direct accountability for day to day quality performance.- - 7 years progressive experience with in Quality, Manufacturing, or Operational Excellence within a regulated manufacturing environment.- - 5 years direct experience with direct people leadership, including coaching, performance management, and talent development for hourly and exempt employee levels- - 5 years experience managing people and other leaders - 2 years experience supporting or leading multi site or shared site quality oversight- - Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Science/ Technical related field or other BA/ BS program may be considered if the applicant has successfully completed fundamental math and science coursework.
