Under the supervision of the Production Supervisor, the Assembler I is responsible for multiple tasks in the manufacturing area. These tasks include prepping parts, assembling subcomponents, machines, and additional tasks as required. This position is essential to ensure machines are assembled in a manner that meets our quality standards and productivity requirements. - Prepares components for use in the assembly area. Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies Positions or aligns components and parts, either manually or with hoists. Reads and deciphers schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions Uses hand tools or power tools to assemble parts Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment- Ensure all assembled machinery complies with industry regulations and standards Cleans and maintains work area and equipment, including tools Conducts quality control checks Documents actions by completing production and quality forms Ensure that all assembled machines meet quality and safety standards Report any discrepancies or problems to the supervisor and suggest improvements Provide suggestions and ideas to continuously improve safety, quality and process Work closely with engineers and other team members to achieve assembly goals- High School diploma or GED or previous experience in an assembly operation Experience using powered and non-powered hand tools such as drivers, ratchets, drills and saws Basic in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints Ability to assemble up to 5 machines Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to work under limited supervision at times Effective listening, verbal, and written communication skills Detail-oriented is a must Team player WORKING CONDITIONS: Works in a manufacturing plant environment with limited HVAC, concrete floors, and exposure to industrial noise, dust, chemicals, and temperature changes - PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Job includes tasks that require walking, bending, twisting, gripping, stair and ladder climbing. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
