Accounts payable processing Assist with monthly close activities, reviewing financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting schedules prepared by the accounting team. Provide hands on review and quality control, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GAAP and Troon's internal controls and standard operating procedures. Identify, investigate, and resolve accounting issues and variances, escalating matters appropriately to the Club Controller when needed. Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities, including data preparation, review of assumptions, and variance analysis. Analyze financial performance, highlight significant variances, and provide clear, actionable insights into accounting management and operations. Qualifications/ Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including 2 years in a lead, supervisory, or senior accountant capacity. Demonstrated experience reviewing complex reconciliations, financial statements, and close deliverables prepared by others. Proven ability to manage workloads, deadlines, and quality across multiple departments with minimal oversight. Preferred: Experience in multi entity accounting, shared services, or hospitality/golf industry environments. Knowledge and Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft 365 suite. Knowledge of Jonas club software & Ottimate accounts payable processing Solid understanding of GAAP, transaction flow, and financial statement impacts. Ability to identify complex accounting issues, apply judgment, and recommend compliant solutions. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to non finance partners. Comfortable using reporting tools for review, analysis, and variance investigation. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in a deadline driven, fast paced environment. Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field required.
