The Cell Culture Process Development group within Biologics CMC is responsible for end-to-end upstream drug substance development across the biologics portfolio, supporting molecules from early development through commercialization and lifecycle management. We are seeking a Senior Research Associate to join our Cell Culture Process Development group within Drug Substance Development, Biologics CMC in West Chester, PA. This is a hands-on, lab-based role ideal for a motivated candidate with a strong foundation in mammalian cell culture and data analysis with a passion for innovation in monoclonal antibody (m. Ab) production. You will play a key role in designing and executing experiments that drive process understanding, optimization, and scale-up from early-stage development through commercial launch and life-cycle management. How You’ll Spend Your Day - Collaboratively design and execute (with minimal supervision) mammalian cell culture experiments with strong scientific rationale. - Operate and scale processes using bioreactors (ambr 250, 3 L, 50 L, 200 L). - Utilize statistical modeling and automation tools to drive data-driven decisions. - Collaborate in a matrixed environment with automation, downstream, analytical, and manufacturing teams. - Author technical reports Your Skills and Experience Required: - Bachelors Degree in Chemical/ Biochemical Engineering, Cell Biology, or related field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience. Preferred Qualifications: - Hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture, media/feed development, and bioreactor operations. - Experience utilizing automation platforms - Excellent problem-solving, communication, and technical writing skills. - Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced, and innovative environment.
