A Senior Account Manager is responsible for helping the overall team meet minimum volume goals and to support overall business operations. Essential Functions/ Responsibilities. Generate qualified equipment finance and leasing leads, proposing on and eventually closing required amounts of business through direct selling and indirect (syndications buyside) originations. Record customer and prospect data and sales efforts in all company used databases and management systems properly and consistently. Act as the primary contact for customers and prospects, effectively communicating the company’s products and capabilities to the customer and the customer’s needs to the company for the equipment financing relationship. Identify and understand key risk elements of potential transactions and lessees/borrowers and work effectively with group leaders to competitively structure and price transactions that are candidates for underwriting or syndication. Work closely with manager(s) regarding maturing reports and exceptions. Act as an information source on industry trends, along with organization policies and procedures. Assist with customer service related requests (payoffs, copies of documents, amortization schedules, etc.). Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed to Perform Essential Functions of the Job 5 years of relationship based client procurement and account management. Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Excelling organizational skills. Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills. Generate new business through consultative sales approach. Understanding of various corporate structures. Experience with complex mid-market commercial loans. Strong PC skills. Demonstrative sales and negotiations experience required. Preferred Knowledge and Skills 5 years of previous commercial lending, private or business banking, experience. Credit training, credit quality and underwriting fundamentals experience including financial analysis. Middle market Equipment Finance and Leasing experience in a Banking environment.
