We have an exciting Chemical Room Operator opportunity at our processing plant facility. In this role, you will be a key member of the sanitation services team. The chemical room operator is responsible for managing the chemical room and its products used in sanitation activities to ensure the plant is cleaned and sanitized to achieve high cleanliness levels and maintain product integrity according to the Company’s and USDA’s standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Management of the product inventory, storage, mixing, and monitoring of chemicals used in the sanitation process. Maintains all required records for the chemicals used in the process and evaluates data for required usage and compliance. Ability to perform simple titration checks to monitor chemical usage in sanitation activities. Ability to troubleshoot issues with chemicals, equipment, and the overall process. Collaborates with plant management on improving systems and processes that impact all sanitation activities. Adheres to all Company, local, state, and federal food safety and workplace safety policies and procedures. Ensures corrective actions are taken and implemented when an issue is identified that the program has failed to prevent a hazard within the production process. Complete and thorough understanding of new and current federal, state, and local regulations that affect sanitation activities associated with food manufacturing.
