Patient Registrar – Radiology – Per Diem – Days – Weill Cornell As a Patient Registrar, you’ll play a key role in ensuring a seamless patient experience, from arrival through registration and scheduling. You’ll be responsible for:Greeting patients with professionalism, warmth, and respect. Registering and pre-registering patients accurately in our system. Collecting and verifying demographic, insurance, and financial information. Scheduling appointments and coordinating with referring providers. Securing pre-certifications and authorizations to support timely reimbursement. Preparing necessary documentation and communicating financial responsibilities. Interface with referring offices/departments. Above all, you’ll be a calm, reassuring presence for patients navigating their care - helping them feel informed, supported, and confident every step of the way. This role is a per diem day flex shift position working as needed in the Radiology department at our Weill Cornell location. Shifts are 8 hours ranging between 6:00 am-5:00 pm. Includes rotating holiday coverage. Preferred Criteria. Some college. Energetic, approachable individual with a desire to put patients first. Knowledge of health insurance benefits/requirements. Knowledge of Coding: ICD 9, CPT-4 Required Criteria. High School Diploma or GED - One year of clerical experience. Effective communication, along with phone and computer skills.
