Position Details:Location Mercy Hospital Southeast 1701 Lacey Street Cape Girardeau, MO 63701 Hours/ Schedule. Full-Time (40-hrs per week)Days 8:00 am-4:30 PM - Education - High school diploma or equivalent required. - Some college preferred. Competencies - Attention to detail. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. - Self-starting, independent individual. - Highly motivated and organized problem solver. Experience - HIM/ Medical Records: Minimum 1 year in HIM/medical records or related fields - Medical Record Regulatory Requirements: Working Knowledge Required - Analytical Skills: Intermediate required - Problem Solving Skills: Intermediate required - Data Analysis Skills: Basic required - Research Skills: Basic required - Computer Skills: Intermediate required - Microsoft Office: Working knowledge required - Knowledge of the Health Record: Working knowledge required - Medical Terminology: Preferred - EHR Terminology: Basic Required - Scanning Documents: Preferred - Coding/ Billing Knowledge: N/ A - Preferred Licensure: RHIT or RHIA - Preferred HIM Experience: Minimum 2-3 years in an acute care medical records department; Minimum 1 year experience in ROI or Analysis role in an acute care setting Why Mercy?
