And Duties include, but are not limited to:Respond to and process requests for medical record retrieval in a timely manner in accordance with medical records and information policies, practices, and regulations (i.e. State and Federal HIPAA Regulations). Review records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with regulations. Also confirm successful transmission of records. Participate in special projects outside of the day-to-day responsibilities. Make outbound calls to medical offices, specialists, and hospitals to procure medical record documentation. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Working knowledge of Privacy & HIPAA Regulations Required. Strong organizational skills Required. Excellent Attention to detail Required. Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook. Strong interpersonal skills Required. Previous experience in medical records highly preferred.
