What We Offer. Life Support Program Coordinator Schedule: Monday through Friday 8-5 pm. Department: Center for Professional Practice and Development. Location: Forsyth Medical Center. The Life Support Program Coordinator is responsible and accountable for supporting and/or facilitating the ongoing Responder, BLS, ALS, ASLS, and PALS educational needs of personnel throughout Novant Health. What We're Looking For. Education: High School or GED, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree, certification or degree in Nursing, Health or Adult Education related field. Experience: Previous life support teaching, leadership and program management experience, preferred. Licensure/ Certification: Relevant instructor/trainer cert (BLS, ACLS, PALS) , preferred. Relevant instructor/trainer cert (NRP/ ASLS) , preferred. Additional Skills/ Requirements (required): Current and future trends/practice in area of responsibility; regulatory and governing standards, policies and procedures; information systems and software used in area of responsibility; equipment used in performing assigned duties; application of safety and infection control policies and procedures; teambuilding, conflict management, and interpersonal relationship skills; principles of adult learning and teaching methods/models; effective classroom presentation style; decision making, project leadership and consultation, delegation and communication skills; understanding of customer needs and expectations and knowledge for improvement to exceed customer expectations; ability to write effectively. Additional Skills/ Requirements (preferred): Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrates conduct that is respectful of others. Essential Mental Abilities: Writing and leadership skills. Requires higher level of mental faculties accompanied by short and long-term memory. Other - Hours of Work: Flexible hours to meet educational, departmental and institution needs.
