Fairview is looking for a Linen Aide at our Fairview UMMC - West Bank/ Riverside location, in Minneapolis, MN. This is a part time position offering 16 hours over a 2-week pay period and is not benefit eligible. The Linen Aide's job is to provide a superior level of linen service, quality, and maintenance throughout the facility. Duties include (but not limited to) filling linen carts and responding to order requests with clean linen items, delivery, and pickup of soiled linen, tracking linen usage daily using hospital's tracking system and performing other linen related duties as assigned. Schedule Week 1 Fri: 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm (4 hrs) Week 2 Thu: 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm (4 hrs)Sat: 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm (4 hrs)Sun: 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm (4 hrs) Responsibilities. Performs all tasks demonstrating service orientation to fellow employees, facility staff and customers. Inspects and sorts linen as it is received from laundry; records and returns reject to laundry. Removes clean linen from laundry carts and places in designated areas. Loads carts for delivery. Replenishes linen according to established levels and/or utilization. Maintains log for linen closets, documents unused linen, and reports any apparent discrepancy between established standards and actual usage. Maintains linen room in a clean and orderly condition. Performs all other related and miscellaneous duties as required. Makes certain that while delivering through the hospital, the clean linen is covered. Takes count of linen not used from previous delivery. Collect and load soiled linen into carts from soil collection areas in the facility and take it to designated pick-up area. Maintain records utilization information on tablet and/or paper. This includes counting linen not used from previous delivery and current linen in hospital. Ability to use a computer and applications that are associated with performing basic work tasks (navigate in Windows, Outlook, tablets, etc.)Must have basic ability to read and write in English. Skilled in developing effective rapport with customers, coworkers, or families, actively listening to develop a positive connection. Reports mechanical & equipment failures or negative conditions to appropriate supervisor. Required Qualifications. Demonstrated knowledge of basic math, human relations and effective communication required. High school level ability to use technology, such as entering orders and utilization information into a computer, tablet, or other handheld device
