The Manufacturing Supervisor position primarily involves the safe and efficient manufacturing of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API’s) according to current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) requirements. The role of Production Scientist, Associate is a lab-based role primarily focused on executing required production operations to support the end users and patients of the compounds produced at Millipore. Sigma. These responsibilities include but are not limited to executing existing production procedures, updating supporting documents, and maintaining the safety and quality of the manufacturing environment. This position is for B shift. (Thursday – Sunday 6:30 am – 7:00 pm, then Friday – Sunday 6:30 am – 7:00 pm)Serve as the primary operator for project execution in kilo and production API manufacturing. Ensure adherence to Verona/ Madison procedures and maintain accurate cGMP records. Apply strong knowledge of synthetic and process chemistry to support manufacturing activities. Coordinate cross-department workflow to ensure timely completion of manufacturing projects and PD scale-up/tech transfer. Lead, train, and develop staff; conduct performance reviews and recruit/export cross-training as needed. Maintain compliance with FDA, OSHA, EPA, DNR, DOT, and other regulatory guidelines; uphold a clean, safe workplace. Identify gaps and areas for improvement in production systems and work to resolve them. Represent the company with customers and vendors; manage projects end-to-end and respond to emergencies as needed. Physical attributes:Stand for long periods of time. Lift and move up to 50 pounds with the assistance of equipment or teammates as necessary. Operate hand tools, calculators, and weighing / measuring devices. Who You Are Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering or other Life Science discipline . years of work experience in chemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing. Preferred Qualifications:Ability to read and understand written protocols. Ability to demonstrate leadership skills and lead by example. Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Office and Outlook tools, Electronic Document Management Systems, etc.)Effective oral and written communication skills. Mechanical and technical aptitude. Strong mathematical skills. Possess a high degree of internal motivation. Ability to multi-task while paying close attention to detail
