Provides direct patient care - Performs specific documentation in the patient's record - Maintains equipment and supplies and participates in quality assurance - Communicates appropriate information intradepartmental and interdepartmental - Assists and participates in staff education and pursues continuing education for personal development. - Applies knowledge of age-related factors appropriately to patients, utilizing appropriate policies and procedures. - Perform basic patient care tasks including bathing, grooming, and mobility assistance. - Provide general nursing support such as positioning, lifting, turning, and using special equipment. - Assist with toileting needs using bedpans, urinals, commodes, or ambulation to the bathroom. - Take and record temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, height, blood pressure, and intake/output measurements accurately and document in a timely manner. - Prepare patient rooms for admission and transfer, ensuring cleanliness and equipment readiness. - Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment with attention to ventilation and lighting. - Support patient admission, transfer, and discharge procedures, including handling of patient belongings. - Answer patient call lights, phones, and pages, responding promptly and appropriately. - Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Work Experience. Previous relevant experience or completion of base skills as a registered nursing student. Required Skills. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
