City of Hope has an opening for an Assistant Professor in the Department of Hematology and Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation. As a successful candidate, you will:You will study how the microbiome can impact cancer, diabetes, and other life-threatening illnesses and treatment outcomes in these illnesses. You will generate hypotheses based on patient biospecimens and preclinical models. You will increase our understanding of how microbes can shape health and disease via effects on host cells and tissues. You will identify and evaluate strategies to introduce, target or modulate microbes to potentially prevent or benefit these illnesses, improve response rates, or reduce toxicities Qualifications. Your qualifications should include:MD or PhD degree and have a demonstrable record of accomplishments, peer-reviewed publications and extramural funding in related research. Experience in microbiome science. Preferred qualifications:Postdoctoral Training required.
