We recover patients from a variety of procedure and surgical areas post-anesthesia. We are open Monday – Friday some on-call on the weekends and weeknights that is rotating with all staff. Shift: Days - 10:00 a-7:30 p (4/9 s) Patient Population/ Diagnoses:PACU-post surgical patients - General, ENT, Urology, Plastics, Ortho, Thoracic, GYN, Transplant, IR, GI, and ERC - Poutpatient post-surgical patients Number of Beds. PACU- 15 bays Nursing skills gained: PACU- epidurals, CADD pumps, vent management, art lines, assessment skills, lab draws, PC - As, pain/nausea management, ACLS, PALS Unit Successes/ Designations/ National recognition:Magnet.
