Perform data management and generate and evaluate reports to support QC review, revision and publishing of project deliverables. - Manage datasets including MS Access databases and various file collections for reference and record purposes. - Provide technical support to the Asset Management QC Manager as requested. - Perform occasional facility assessments of buildings, structures and other real property assets across the building structural/civil/architectural, mechanical/electrical/plumbing and fire protection systems. Work is typically performed in teams of 2 assessors with the assessment focus split based on personnel experience and training. - Conduct inventory and condition assessments of building systems consistent with the UNIFORMAT convention per ASTM E 1557, identifying all building components and documenting any deficiencies. - Field work on-site in both CONUS and OCONUS on trips lasting 1-2 weeks. - Strict adherence to the Tetra Tech safety policies. - Use of US Army Corps of Engineers Sustainment Management Systems, including the BUILDER™ Sustainment Management System (SMS). Entry of building inventory and assessments using the BUILDER Remote Entry Database (BRED) application is desired but not required. - Develop proficiency in the management and deployment of in-house tools for field and office use. Project activities may also include preparing data collection devices and reference materials before field trips. Qualifications:o Qualified candidates will be advanced users of Microsoft (MS) Office applications running on MS Windows workstations. More highly qualified candidates will possess a demonstrable ability to utilize Excel macros, Access development, SQL queries and VBA scripting to process data and automate tasks.o Other skills must include consistent attention to detail and the ability to proactively work as part of a multi-disciplinary team located across many offices and time zones. Candidates must have strong and clear communication skills, both in speech and in writing, and be prepared to master technically detailed tasks through training and supervision.o Limited travel within CONUS will be required for the successful applicant to gain understanding of the project data and the field processes used to obtain it. A valid driver’s license and clean record are required to gain access to the government installations where most of the field work is conducted.o Knowledge of tools such as ESRI GIS applications, Python, MS Powershell, MS SQL Server, Auto. Desk AutoCAD and common programming languages under MS Visual Studio is highly valued but not required.o Knowledge of Department of Defense real property and/or facility management and related topics is valued but not required. This position requires the candidate to be a U.S. Citizen due to the projects they will be working on. Background Check : This position requires a CAC card, CUI Enclave Access and/or a Security Clearance, a background check will be completed. Physical Demands: The candidate is expected to occasionally participate in field activities. This involves walking or standing for the majority of the workday. Field teams may walk from 5 to 10 miles a day, carrying tools such as clipboards, small cameras, tablet computers and/or paper drawings. Candidates must also be able to climb ladders and to access flat roofs where safe access is provided. Work Environment: When not traveling to sites on data collection trips (see above), the candidate will work in an office environment and occasionally from home. Travel may require working outdoors for brief periods where a variety of weather conditions can occur. Language & Communication Skills: Candidates are expected to possess and use clear verbal and writing skills to describe topics, express needs and provide instructions and clarification to team members. Other Skills: Instructions: Computer Skills are mandatory. Extensive experience with MS Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access is required. Working knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) fundamentals is required or must be developed with the guidance of the QC Manager. The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $75,000 .
