V 2 X is growing! V 2 X is looking for a Material Handler I to join our team! Overview We are seeking candidates for the position of Material Handler I at the Indianapolis site. The individual will perform the tasks below that are aligned with the Core Logistics Functions of Receiving, Storing, Issuing, Inventory, Mail, and Delivery. Description: The following is a sample of the various tasking required of Material Handler I. The omission of specific responsibilities does not exclude them from the position if the tasking is comparable or logically associated to the position. Main tasks will be to pick parts to create full kits to deliver to the production floor from various warehouses in the facility Performs manual and/or weight counts of materials/property. Records and/or updates various internal and external logs, forms, and documentation. This will also include transactional input into various internal and external systematic records. Attaches identifying tags, markings, and labeling to material, property, handling, staging, storage and shipment containers or receptacles. Use calculators, tape measure and/or mathematic formulas to meet storage and handling requirements. Utilizes various electrical or mechanical equipment to perform Core Logistics tasking. Equipment can include handheld, rotary or impulse sealers; saws, drills, box making machines, foam-in-place machines, label printers, RF scanners, hoists, tape machines, scales, stencil machines, shrink wrap machines, and other similar equipment. Ensures all required equipment is in proper working condition and preventative maintenance has been performed before and after use. Prepares and adjusts space and layout requirements for LAM Warehouses, Storerooms and common work areas including rearrangement, assembly and movement of shelving, shelves within shelving, adjustments to pallet rack shelf heights at ground level, movement of benches and associated hardware within LAM. The above lists are not inclusive, and other tasking may be assigned and tools provided as required to fulfill work requirements. 1st shift (7 AM-3:30 PM) Education / Certifications: High School Diploma. One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. Experience: 2 years of work experience in the core Logistics functions of Receiving, Storing, Issuing, Inventory, and Delivery. Ability to read, write and comprehend written or verbal instructions. Ability to lift weight in accordance with current OSHA, Bureau of Labor Standards, and V 2 X recommendations and guidelines. Required: Must possess or have the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance. Forklift experience or have the ability to be trained to operate a forklift.
