The Public Spaces Attendant (Custodian) is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and appearance ofthe hotels public areas, laundry facilities, and exterior grounds. This includes regular cleaning of lobbies andrestrooms, assisting with laundry operations, helping prepare rooms for guest check-ins, and responding tourgent maintenance or safety situations as needed. This role ensures a welcoming and safe environment for allguests and staff. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Clean and sanitize all public areas, including lobbies, restrooms, hallways, stairwells, and other shared spaces. Wash, dry, and fold laundry as needed to support housekeeping operations. Assist with preparing guest rooms for check-in by supporting the housekeeping team. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of exterior grounds (e.g., picking up trash, emptying trash cans, clearingwalkways, cleaning dumpster area, sweeping entryways). Monitor common areas for safety hazards and report issues to the General Manager. Respond promptly to emergencies, including fire alarms, water leaks, electrical outages, or other urgent facilityneeds. Use cleaning products and tools safely and in accordance with training and safety guidelines. Perform light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, or resetting breakers as trained Perform other job duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous custodial, maintenance, or housekeeping experience a plus, but not required. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
