School of Music Production/Facilities Associate

This position reports directly to the SOM Production and Facilities Manager. Primary responsibilities include support and oversight of all production elements, including pre and post-production (sound, lighting, staging, video equipment) for concerts/performances in School of Music (SOM) facilities, including Massey Performing Arts Center, Mc. Afee Concert Hall, and other venues as needed. Additional responsibilities include assisting in oversight of facilities, equipment maintenance, and security in SOM classroom spaces such as Wilson Music Building, Mc. Afee Annex, Belmont Heights, Guitar House, and other instructional spaces used for music activities. Assistance in supervision of new hires, work assignments, and scheduling of student production crew and contract labor as assigned by Production & Facilities Manager. The ability to work collaboratively with other SOM production personnel, music faculty, and students is essential. Collaborate with SOM production personnel, faculty, and students to provide support for assigned events, including pre and post-production (sound, lighting, staging, video equipment)Assist in oversight of facilities, equipment maintenance, and security in SOM classroom spaces. Assist with building maintenance and security for SOM facilities. Bachelor’s degree with course of study in the Arts (Music or Theatre), music business or a related field preferred. Required Experience. Five years of commensurate production experience preferred, including management of production staff Experience in an educational performing arts organization preferred Experience in fiscal management of production resources Evidence of collaborative working relationships Evidence of experience that reflects the ability to be organized, innovative and creative.
