Pay Range:$24.40 - $33.55 Position Summary:The Team Lead provides daily coordination, technical leadership, and operational support to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant production activities. This role partners closely with the Supervisor to meet schedule, quality, and workflow goals while supporting and guiding team members through training, process adherence, and issue resolution. The Team Lead works hands on in production while providing direction and facilitating communication across the team and other departments. Key Responsibilities:Provides hands on leadership in the setup, operation, monitoring, and safe removal of finished products from production equipment, ensuring adherence to operational standards. Ensures daily production workflows are executed safely, efficiently, and in full alignment with established schedules and organizational priorities. Demonstrates full proficiency in all team tasks and equipment operations, serving as a technical resource and model for best practices. Supports the team in adapting effectively to shifting priorities, changing production needs, and emerging operational requirements. Maintains accurate calibrations and ensures reliable operation of semiautomated manufacturing equipment, proactively addressing performance concerns. Monitors equipment functionality, identifies issues, and performs or coordinates timely troubleshooting to minimize downtime. Leads training and onboarding activities for new employees, ensuring consistent application of SOPs, quality expectations, and safety standards. Ensures production meets established cycle times while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. Upholds rigorous documentation practices, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with quality systems. Facilitates effective communication and collaboration across teams and departments to support smooth operational flow. Drives consistent achievement of production schedules through proactive coordination and resource management. Contributes to reduced equipment downtime through vigilant monitoring, preventive actions, and timely escalation of issues. QUALIFICATIONS - Education and Experience:Requires a High School diploma or equivalent and 4 or more years of relevant experience; or an associate degree preferred with 2-4 years of relevant experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of basic scientific calculations and statistics. Skills in documentation, record keeping, and adherence to SOPs. Skills in problem-solving and troubleshooting routine laboratory or production issues. Strong organizational abilities and extreme attention to detail. Ability to learn new techniques, processes, and equipment quickly. Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written English. Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Working Conditions:Work performed in a laboratory and production environment with exposure to chemicals, reagents, and standard lab equipment. Standard business hours, with occasional variation depending on production needs. Minimal or no travel required. Physical Requirements:Ability to lift and handle materials weighing 5–50 lbs. Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive laboratory tasks for extended periods. Manual dexterity required for laboratory equipment and fine measurement techniques.
