Review and interpret construction plans, blueprints, site layouts, specs and addendums to ensure compliance with legal requirements and safety regulations. Inspect work of contractors for compliance with construction specifications and safety standards. Communicate with the Council Authorized Representative (CAR) and Assistant Council Authorized Representative (ACAR) to address situations that need resolution. Execute authority to stop work in emergency situations What education and experience are required for this job (minimum qualifications) Must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree seeking program (Associate's or Bachelor's) Candidate's residence must be in Minnesota or Wisconsin during the internship. An UNOFFICIAL transcript is required to be attached to application. Have a valid driver's license. Must be able to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS - Knowledge of construction practices. Knowledge of practical applications of engineering sciences in a construction setting. Ability to read construction plans and documents.
