Assists other technicians in the diagnosis and repair of faulty slot machines and other gaming and non-gaming-related equipment. Maintains and cleans machines; replaces worn parts. Responds to calls from the gaming floor regarding malfunctioning machines. Cleans and repairs spare parts in the shop in order to keep parts available to repair machines. Moves slot machines to various locations on the gaming floor; runs wires. Maintains documentation of repairs; completes shift logs, preventative maintenance logs, and other forms and documents. Theory and methods of electrical and electronic gaming operations. Computer hardware and software applications. Required Skill in: Troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical malfunctions. Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and technical manuals. Operating computer hardware and software applications. Oral and written communication. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with others. Education, Experience, Licenses, Registrations, and Certifications: High School Diploma, and six (6) months of electronic or mechanical maintenance and/or repair experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Must successfully pass a test to demonstrate knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance and repair. High-security gaming license issued by the Grand Ronde Gaming Commission. Must be at least 21 years of age.
