The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a Curriculum Coach with the Child and Family Research Center. The Curriculum Coach, under the direction of the Director of the Child & Family Research Center will support the CFRC and UNR Early Head Start programs and staff by providing coaching and training to teachers based on the principles of emergent curriculum. In collaboration with Program Coordinators/ Site Directors, the Coach will support teachers in curriculum planning and implementation based on developmentally appropriate practice as defined by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, Head Start Performance Standards and all applicable regulations. Required Qualifications. Bachelor’s Degree and three (3) years of related work experience; OR a Master’s degree and two (2) year of related work experience. Related Experience: A background in Early Childhood Education or Human Development and Family Studies is preferred. Experience working with children birth through age 5 in a classroom setting. Experience in a setting working with families who have experienced poverty, crisis, trauma, and other adverse event. Two (2) years in human services program management and one (1) year of supervisory experience. Program for Infant Toddler Care (PITC) experience. Certification and Licensure. Current negative tuberculin test. FBI background check/fingerprints before employment. Certified in CPR and First Aid. Valid Nevada driver’s license or ability to obtain one within specified time period. CLASS reliable (Infant and Toddler) within 12 months of hire. Schedule or Travel Requirements. Flexible schedule required. Compensation Grade.
