Transfer List. The Bureau of Technology Services is seeking an Information Systems Technical Analyst V to join their team. The Information Systems Analyst V is responsible for technical support duties related to the City's information technologies. This is a mid-level position on the Server & Messaging Team which is the team responsible for implementing, maintaining, and supporting a variety of mission critical Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems used across the enterprise. The candidate should have experience in performing core Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration tasks in a mission critical, production enterprise environment with little instruction or assistance such as system design, implementation, system administration and troubleshooting, system upgrades and patching, security hardening and vulnerability analysis, performance tuning, user account administration, and virtual server administration using VMware. This position is also be responsible for developing system and procedural documentation and diagrams. Scripting experience with a focus on automation (e.g. Python, Ansible) is strongly desired. The successful candidate must pass a comprehensive police background investigation in order to have their employment retained.
