REYNOLDS AMERICAN has an exciting opportunity for a Leaf Process Coordinator-Temporary in Wilson. The Leaf Process Coordinator reports to the Sr. Mgr QA & Processing of Leaf Operations. The position is accountable to RAI operating companies and works with leaf utilization partners and leaf stemming service providers to work directly to manage stemming processes for domestic leaf and to ensure best practices are applied. Your key responsibilities will include:Ensure service providers meet quality standards and maintain strong, collaborative relationships. Oversee production schedules, staffing levels, and system setups (Helios, Opus) for accurate operations. Monitor and analyze leaf quality, stem length, PS - Ds, and overall process effectiveness. Enforce adherence to stemming procedures, screen usage, and cleanliness standards. Conduct inspections of cartons, packaging, labelling, and materials to ensure compliance and usability. Validate production data, weights, batch tracking, and reporting accuracy across systems. Monitor NTRM control points, collect samples, and support inspections, audits, and quality testing activities. Ensure compliance with EHS, ESG, and regulatory requirements, including participation in training and safety programs. What are we looking for? Note: We are hiring for two positions: one for a day shift and one for a night shift. Education & Experience: High School Diploma with 6 years of tobacco industry experience, or Associate Degree in Engineering Technology, Business, or related field with 3 years of relevant experience (including tobacco operations). Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of agronomy, leaf tobacco, and bulk commodity processing and cleaning. Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with tobacco stemming processes, equipment functionality, and industry best practices. Quality & Process Control: Proven experience in quality management, process control, and continuous improvement. Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work as a value-added team member and collaborate across functions and with external suppliers. Decision-Making: Ability to make timely, sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. Influence & Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and work effectively across diverse teams and cultures.
