Supports scheduled laboratory-type classrooms, such as those found in mechanical trades (e.g. Automotive Services and/or Collision, HVAC, Welding), by sharing expertise and industry knowledge. Works alongside the instructor with the operation and maintenance of the lab by performing maintenance on equipment when needed, setting up demonstrations, and providing instructional support as needed. What You'll Do: - Ensures training aids, tools, and equipment are available, maintained, and prepared for use in the course and program - Supports the program in maintaining positive vendor relations and is responsible for ordering parts and consumables, using technology to keep organized records, and maintaining shop inventory - Supports instructors in maintaining a clean and safe shop space for students in preparation and dismissal of classes - Support instructors as required, including the ability to provide class coverage as an EGTC substitute, as needed - Support students during instruction or labs if requested by instructor - Other duties as assigned What You’ll Need:High school diploma or GED minimum required. Three to five years of industry related experience within the last 10 years. Certification in relevant trade (e.g. ASE) a plus.
