The Department of Labor and Workforce Development, Division of Employment and Training Services, is recruiting for an. Employment Services Manager 1 located in Valdez! No Cover Letter Required! This position is in the General Government Unit (GGU) at a Range 16. What You Will Be Doing:The Employment Services Manager (ESM) 1 is a working non-supervisory position located at the Valdez Job Center and serves under the direct supervision of the Gulf Coast Regional Manager (ESM 3) located at the Peninsula Job Center in Kenai. This position manages the activities of the Valdez Job Center by providing outreach of employment and training services to the local and surrounding communities including planning, organizing, scheduling, and facilitating program functions. Employment Services Managers perform administrative and managerial assignments necessary for the delivery of federal and state entitlement and employment programs and services that assist individuals to become self-sufficient and gain employment or reemployment, receive career support and training service, receive employment counseling, and/or assist business community market employment opportunities and maintain a viable workforce. Positions in this series perform a variety of duties such as supervising and managing program staff; planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating the delivery of program services; promoting utilization and understanding of program services; and coordinating program services with other public and private sector entities.
