Amazon seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to be a key member on the Alexa Finance team. The Echo/ Alexa business is one of the fastest growing among Amazons portfolio of devices and this is an exciting opportunity to join one of the most innovative businesses at Amazon. Alexas Finance team is searching for a candidate who can thrive in ambiguity and who can actively contribute to our talented team. This candidate will be highly analytical, detail oriented, and have a demonstrated ability to effectively manage financial responsibilities and decision making in a rapidly evolving business. This role requires a self-starter with strong modeling skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively. This role also has regular interaction with senior executives, various business units, and multiple stakeholders across Amazon and requires strong interpersonal and communication skills. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will work directly with leaders to identify growth opportunities for the Alexa business. Key job responsibilities- Participating in short and long-term financial planning- Maintaining and tracking operating and business metrics- Building financial models for new business concepts- Developing scalable and efficient financial processes that support a rapidly growing business- Creating new automation processes to streamline reporting. Basic Qualifications- 3 years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 5 years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience- 3 years of contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience- 3 years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience. Preferred Qualifications- 4 years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience- MBA, or CPA- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)- 4 years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience- 4 years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience- Six Sigma Black Belt- Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence- Experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer, or experience as a lean sensei.
