The Electrical Maintenance Technician will maintain, service, troubleshoot and repair electrical systems used in utilities and facilities areas. They will be required to work on a variety of electrical equipment ranging from lighting systems to power distribution, and motors. Responsibilities:Perform troubleshooting and repairs on all commercial and industrial equipment. Examples. Variable Frequency Drives. Motors and Controls. Power Distribution Systems. Lighting Management Systems. Perform preventive maintenance tasks on a large variety of equipment including infrared scanning and static bonding and grounding. Communicates, through various means, such as email, voicemail, and maintenance management system (Maximo) the status of ongoing work activities. Will work with voltages up to 13,200. Must have at a minimum experience with 480 volts. Completes all necessary training requirements including scheduled training, computer based, and any other training identified in development plan. Develop techniques as necessary to ascertain that newly acquired or developed performs in accordance with required specifications. Assists in establishing and documenting appropriate job plans, and other service protocols that may be required. Ensures that Gx. P and safe work policies and procedures are followed and always maintained in accordance with established company policies. Other responsibilities and duties as assigned by Group Leader, Supervisor, or SR Supervisor. Qualifications. Knowledge and ability to use basic power tools and ability to apply proper hand and measuring tools in an industrial setting. HS diploma with 5 yrs. experience or Relevant Certificate with 3 yrs. experience or Associates Technical degree with 1 yrs. experience.
