Provide consistent information in the areas of health, physical education, athletics and safety to all inquirers. Coordinate various banquets, Prep Bowl, special events, Playoff and Sport Championships events in over 30 Catholic High School League (CHSL) sports. Responsible for cultivating and securing sponsorship funds with other team members for operation of the office. Prepare materials for large events, Athletic Director/ Principal communications, official availabilities and contracts, Executive Board Minutes and fund-raising materials. Responsible for supporting Championships port championships as assigned. Responsible for student eligibility lists and transfer student lists. Responsible for year-end portfolios for each sport season which includes scores/standings, championship information, newspaper/online articles, officials assigned and any other correspondence. Responsible for the All-League sponsored sport coaches portfolios, (which includes all levels). Responsible for database of officials, coaches, Hall of Fame, Catholic schools, media, and all League sponsored sport coaches information. Assist in assigning officials to fill vacancies in various sports. Act as the liaison for sports as assigned. Responsible for updating/uploading and maintaining content internally and externally, on chsl.com and on social media sites. Responsible for end of the year fire, tornado and lockdown drills for school accreditation portfolio. Prepare asbestos training classes with team members. Supervisory Responsibilities. Not applicable. Required Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities. Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong customer service skills. Strong MS Office Suite and computer skills. Strong internet and social media skills. Strong organizational skills with ability to work independently and handle multiple projects at the same time while paying attention to details and meeting tight deadlines. Strong ability to work collaboratively and strategically with various staff and stakeholders and administer programs. Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, Archdiocese of Detroit and State of Michigan rules, regulations and procedures related to K-12 entities and sports. Demonstrated leadership and relational skills. Good public-speaking and presentation skills. Must be willing to work flexible hours, occasional nights and weekends. Education and Experience Requirements. Bachelors degree in Sports Management, Physical Education or related field with experience. Minimum 2 to 3 years of related work experience required. Experience in a Catholic school environment a plus. Physical Requirements. May involve prolonged sitting and working at a desk with repetitive motion working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time. May involve some standing, bending, and walking. Travel Required. Must have reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout the Archdiocese of Detroit. Additional Requirements.
