Student-Athlete Development & Coaching. Assist in training, developing, and retaining athletically talented student-athletes to compete successfully while ensuring the welfare and safety of student-athletes. This includes assisting the head coach in all aspects of practice preparation, pre-game strategies, and meet management. Encourage student-athletes to perform to their highest academic potential and monitor, advise, and support academic progress toward degree completion and NCAA eligibility requirements, including Academic Progress Rate (APR) and Graduation Success Rate (GSR). Coach will represent the University at a high professional level with dignity, integrity, and strength of character. Demonstrate respect for the rights and dignity of each student-athlete while fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment. Assess talent and actively recruit student-athletes who can successfully contribute to the program athletically and academically within the University environment. Program Administration & Operations. Assist the head coach with administration of the program as assigned, including hiring, training, and supervision of assistant staff, maintenance of equipment, and development of the gymnastics facility to safely and effectively support NCAA Division I student-athletes. Assist with the Community Gymnastics program, summer camps, and clinics, including program development, scheduling, marketing, and administration. Alumni, Development & External Engagement. Assist in developing and maintaining strong alumni, parent, and booster engagement for the program. Partner with the Wildcat Fund and UNH Foundation to support fundraising efforts, annual contributions, and scholarship initiatives. Assist in developing strategies to increase visibility and attendance at home and away events, promote the program regionally and nationally, and support media and public relations efforts. Compliance & Professional Responsibilities. Maintain knowledge of and compliance with NCAA rules, conference policies, university regulations, and applicable state and federal laws, and report any known violations to the Director of Athletics. Pass the NCAA coaches certification test, attend mandatory compliance meetings, maintain required documentation, participate in athletics department meetings, and represent the University on regional and national committees as appropriate. Minimum Requirements:Previous collegiate coaching experience, preferably at the NCAA level, with demonstrated experience recruiting and developing high-performing gymnasts; competitive gymnastics experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to safely instruct, spot, and support student-athletes performing advanced gymnastics skills and techniques. Knowledge of gymnastics equipment maintenance, safety standards, and facility operations. Strong organizational, administrative, and operational support skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
