The Security division within Facility Services department is seeking an Administrative Supervisor to oversee the operating segments, contract management for the division, compliance, investigations, and budgetary responsibilities. This position will be responsible for comprehensive management of the county's properties and facilities to support county programs and services appropriately, safely, and effectively. Location and hours:This is an on-site position and the location for this position will be determined based on placement. Work hours will be Monday through Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. About the position type:This is a full-time, benefit earning position. You must be a current regular or probationary employee of Hennepin County to apply for this position. Limited duration employees are not eligible. In this position, you will:Mature security division support services and capabilities of operating unit segment. Coordinate and process contracts and contract renewals; ensure terms, scope, and requirements are within contract policies and practices. Coordinate program services and administrative functions supporting Security Director and assigned areas. Oversee the operation segment. Develop and manage program specific operating and capital budgets. Manage the development and coordination of emergency preparedness programs for assigned areas. Provide administrative support related to data privacy requests, budget, and compliance. Facilitate continuous process improvement of systems and programs by determining division needs, developing plans, policies, procedures, and evaluating outcomes for services. Conduct analysis of area operations and make recommendations to management; prepare reports for division and department use. Need to have:One of the following:Six years or more of administrative experience. Bachelor's degree or higher in business administration, public administration, or another field appropriate to the position and two years or more of administrative experience. A valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a Hennepin County driver's permit. Nice to have: Experience:Working with departmental/organizational financial budgeting. Training and evaluating the performance of security personnel, scheduling work assignments, and enforcing security practices and procedures. Working with compliance and data analysis. Managing and developing direct reports. With SharePoint. Skills in computer applications and systems including Microsoft Office, Excel, SharePoint, and Access. Ability to:Analyze workflow and implement change. Build and nurture collaborative relationships with a variety of employees and customers, both internal and external. Be flexible and comfortable with change, complexity, and ambiguity. Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Manage conflict and foster a teamwork environment. Lead, develop, and manage direct reports to ensure engagement and continuous improvement. The department:Identifies capital needs, responds to and supports capital projects identified by line departments. Develops and manages projects to construct new buildings, refurbish existing buildings, and maintain infrastructure. Operates and maintains buildings. Protects employees, contacts and property.
