Plans, organizes, implements and ensures each testing site provides the highest level of clinical diagnostic testing services service. Maintains active communication among medical staff and peers. Utilizes the nursing process in this role. Coordinates and directs activity of assigned clinical staff. Coordinates daily functions with other clinical and clerical staff. Oversees daily staff assignments coordinating appropriate match of skill to patient need. Assists with the planning and evaluation of orientation/educational development and competencies of all staff members. Functions as a role model, guide and source of information. Performs functions of a Registered Nurse in the clinical setting. Provides coverage for Manager of Department such as; safety huddle and departmental meetings and vacation. Formal Education Required: a. Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)- Applicants with an Associate’s degree will be considered but are required to obtain BSN within three (3) years of employmentb. Graduate of a program of professional nursing that is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)c. Current license to practice registered nursing in the State of Ohiod. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) e. Advances Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)Experience and Training Required:a. Minimum of two (2) years previous nursing experience in area of specializationb. Minimum one (1) year in leadership/supervision position preferred.c.
