Join our Finance team and play a key role in supporting the organization's financial success. This position is responsible for month-end close activities, financial analysis and reporting, account reconciliations, budgeting support, and evaluating trends in costs, revenues, and overall financial performance. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES When performing duties under oversight of the Financial Controller duties will include, but are not limited to: Month end closing, financial analysis, financial reporting, account reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable, and assistance with budgets. Responsibilities also include analyzing trends, costs, and revenues. Candidate is responsible for other duties as assigned. When performing duties under oversight of the Manager of Revenue Audit duties will include, but are not limited to: Month end closing working with operational information, assisting daily audits of revenue that consists of table games, slot, complimentary services and items, food and beverage, cage and others. Candidate is responsible for other duties as assigned. Candidates should have the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment and possess a strong, energetic work ethic and attention to detail, keen analytical skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES LANGUAGE ABILITY Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information to and respond to questions from guests and other employees of the Company in one-on-one and small group situations. MATH ABILITY Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, using whole numbers and decimals. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Ability to become familiar with a variety of departments’ concepts, practices and procedures. Ability to perform with a wide degree of creativity and latitude. COMPUTER SKILLS Microsoft Office experience required. Will utilize Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint. CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES Candidate must obtain and maintain appropriate licensing as set forth by the PGCB, PHRC and Presque Isle Downs. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES No direct reports. Must be able to work independently with a variety of departments to successfully accomplish goals. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required or a combination of education and work experience. CPA or MBA a plus. Must have at least one year of experience in public and/or corporate accounting.
